BODÉ BASICS: What’s the difference between Waxing, Sugaring, Shaving and Clipping?

I see on your website that you have different ways of removing body hair. What’s the difference between Waxing, Sugaring, Shaving and Clipping? And how do I know which one is for me? – Moe

Thanks Moe!

This is a question we get SO many times, each and every week. And it’s a good one.

Let’s start with quickly describing each service.

Waxing and Sugaring removes the ENTIRE hair out of the pore by using a sticky paste to pull the hair out. You’ll stay smooth for 3-4 weeks, and guys usually wax/sugar every 6-8 weeks.

Shaving uses a razor to cut the hair that you can see down to the skin. Do you shave your face? We shave body parts. You’ll stay smooth for 1 week, maybe 2.

Clipping uses an electric clipper to cut the hair that you can see. Think of a buzz cut; that’s clipping!

How do you decide which method you want? It depends on which guy you are:

Guy #1: I want the experience to be 100% pain free.
Answer: Clipping and Shaving are the options for you.
Guy #2: I want to be 100% smooth for as long as possible.
Answer: Waxing and Sugaring are the options for you because these methods remove the ENTIRE hair, not just the part that is showing above the skin.
Guy #3: I want to shorten my body hair. I don’t want it completely off.
Answer: Clipping is what you’re looking for and we can clip the hair to the length that you want.

I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any other questions, send us an email and let us know.

Thanks!
