About Us
Every story has a beginning but our stories end is but miles from conclusion. Our humble beginnings began under the name of The Little House Spa. Little House Spa was a co-ed spa with a large audience. The buildings on this 80 acre property were built in 1847 with gardens, paths, and a warm place to be with nature and with the best of the spa. Daniel Francoeur and Douglas Coburn felt like real pioneers in this rural environment and the pioneering aspect was in fact trying to attract and assist the male client into the spa world. Both men with backgrounds in business, esthetics, and massage study respectively felt there was this missing piece for men in the industry. Therefore in 2004, they took upon the project of BODÉ SPA. With Little House Spa put to a rest after 6 years every, effort now went into the Bode Spa, a spa where every aspect of service and allegiance was for the male patron.
Today with almost a decade of experience under our belts we embarked on the journey forward to establish a haven for him. Skin lines, shaving lines and body care products were put through a thin strain and filtered to offer our clients the finest in all aspects. The menu and services were tailored and then tailored again, to adapt all what we knew into something he could relate to and appreciate. Bode is proud to say it is the only spa in Canada and the United States of America that is staffed by 9 men. Our aim is to act as in the role of the valet or the manservant in vesting an intense focus on his needs and grooming. Our website is a testament to our belief in education. For men education is important because we as men are often not in the loop concerning our personal care as compared in general to woman.
Bode Spa now in its 6th year is starting to get noticed not only by patrons and the like but by the spa industry in Canada and the USA and even the United Kingdom. Douglas & Daniel are now holding regular seminars and classes through Esthetique Show International and offer continuing education for those whom want to expand the horizon of the male clientele at their door. We are teachers and mentors to many people and have a special training schedule with Epyllis wax company in Montreal Canada helping professionals with every part of waxing the male body.
The story will continue ,the story is changing but more importantly its getting exciting and its getting harder and harder resist turning yet another page.

This is one of those business you root for and want to see succeed. I met the gentlemen who own Bode a few years ago and have been enjoying their services and products since. Whether you're a dude with excess body hair, you're in need of a massage, you need some fantastic quality shave cream (that's a couple of bucks more then the drug-store brand and far superior) or you just want to keep your skin looking younger then your drivers licence says it should - this place, and these gentlemen are for you.
They specialize in men's care. Why shouldn't we look and feel our best? They've done an amazing job creating an atmosphere and feel that's spa-like and yet very geared towards a long-too forgotten segment of the spa population... dudes
I love the products they carry (they're high end but not silly expensive), they never try to push stuff on me I don't need and I always get fantastic advice in addition to whatever product or service I ask for.
